Chaos and Pandemonium as Policeman Shoots Dead Danfo Driver in Festac

According to Tori news, Commotion has ensued in the 2nd Rainbow area of FESTAC, lagos after a policeman shot dead a danfo driver for traffic offence.

 
A Nigerian Policeman who was trying to stop a danfo driver from taking the wrong lane, has shoot the driver dead in yet another incident of Police killings in Lagos.

When Tori.ng visited the scene of the incident this morning, the atmosphere was still full of commotion and unrest as people ran helter skelter in fear.

An okada rider who were still shocked and frightened told our reporter that a policeman confronted a danfo driver who was driving on a wrong lane and when the danfo driver refused to obey him, the policeman drew his rifle and shot the man dead.
 

Other witnesses disclosed that immediately after the shooting, the people around the area formed a mob and attacked the policemen and almost vandalised their vehicle. Frightened, the policemen picked the body of the danfo driver and sped off to the police station.

Not satisfied, the mob attacked the police station and in order to scare them away, the policeman began to shoot sporadically into the air.

As at the time of filing this report, tension is still high in the area.

EFCC Officials Forcefully Break Into An Expectant Woman's House at 3am

An expectant father has accused EFCC officials of breaking into his home in the middle of the night to conduct a search without a warrant. The man said he was at his home in Olokuta, Kemta, in Idi-Aba, Abeokuta between 3 am to 5 am, when some men forcefully broke into his house using a hammer.  He added that he was afraid they were armed robbers, so he hid in the guest bedroom with his pregnant wife as the men broke in through the sitting room window. According to him, the intruders claimed to be EFCC officials looking for "Yahoo boys", but they had no form of identification, neither did they have a search warrant.  Even without a search warrant, the victim alleged that they searched his house, damaged things, then left without as much as an apology.
