Woman wanted after hit and run 'dyes hair pink and tattoos dragon on her face to avoid police'

Tracy Clapp, 36, dyed her hair bright pink and took things even further when she opted for a permanent dragon tattoo across her face.
Clapp, from Southern California, allegedly ran a red light on April 20 and struck down Christopher Chavez, 26.


Despite stopping briefly after hitting the victim, Clapp then fled the scene of the crime according to American media reports.

However during her brief, an quick-thinking witness managed to take a picture of her.

When police managed to track down Clapp last Saturday, she had radically changed her whole look in an apparent attempt to avoid being caught.

Her brown locks had been dyed bright pink, and a Chinese dragon had been inked on her cheek.
Clapp was also wearing contact lenses which changed the colour of her eyes.

The incident took place last Saturday
According to the Los Angeles Times , Clapp was caught by Santa Ana police following a car and foot chase which ended when a police dog pinned her down.
Anthony Bertagna of the Santa Ana Police Department said: "This was a case we have been working non-stop. She knew we were looking for her."
