NIGERIA A DECOMPOSING NATION?

Is Nigeria Nigeria a decayed nation. Nigeria is part of that group of African countries that has no real reason to account for its perpetually high poverty rates. No other reason than corruption or incompetence, perhaps. After many attempts to stabilize their economy, macroeconomic reforms in the 1980s finally worked well.

To move forward in life, to maximise your luck or lucky stars, there are forces which tend to limit you in achieving your aim no matter how hard you try. It hinders you from making right choices; doing the right thing at the wrong time or even saying the right thing at the very wrong time. o I thought it important for us to crush if not cure or suppress some of these forces and rid our minds from every negative force that is a point of hindrance. We have to be careful what we take granted, a rare infection, though common all over the streets and around us, we see people who have such, if we could assist them, then yes we can. This Story caught my attention and i taught i'ld share it on my blog. Father-of-two who brushed his ankle against a bin bag, scraping the skin, developed a flesh-eating bug and nearly lost his leg. Douglas Murphy was cleaning up after a children's picnic when he bumped his leg against a bin bag. Though the 47-year-old barely registered it at the time, the scrape almost cost him his right leg. A cut so small it was hardly visible, became infected, causing the rare condition necrotizing faciitis - a flesh-eating bug. So extreme was Mr Murphy's infection, surgeons were preparing to amputate his right leg. A person who won't read has no advantage over one who can't read. This is because those who can't read, even when they hear you speak as a Mr. Educated or know it all, can sense your flaws. Am not much of a talker, but you know you have one or two friends who just have a way of making you talk. I was peeved at the words a trusted,nontribalistic friend of mine(I had taught) had used in the early hours of this day against the IBO's, a recognised minority group in Nigeria of which where he is coming from is least recognised, calling the Igbo's fools and of no origin. Though I was glad he had said they had no origin or history, I can assume that the IBO's probably fell from the sky, which further adds to the unique and scintilating nature of this tribe. But for the avoidance of doubt, I would want us to go through the history of these people called THE IBGOS.

Or we set up laws to ban and frustrate these individuals without even seeking for ways to convert them or help? IN 2011 Lin Yan attended the Chuanwei Psychological Counselling Centre in Shenzhen, a southern city. Worried that his parents would not accept his homosexuality, Mr Lin, who was then 24 (and now uses a pseudonym), spent $1,700 on three months of so-called “conversion therapy”. He was shown sexualised images of men and induced to vomit by an injected drug. Other techniques included what he describes as “mental torture”. A counsellor would repeat that his family would never forgive him and that being gay was immoral. He endured electric shocks.

Tensions are high on Saturday in the south where close contests are expected in Lagos, Nigeria's financial heart and wealthiest state, as well as in the oil-rich southern state of Rivers.

ALL FALSE PROPHECIES OF 2014...

The False Prophecies About 2014 7 January 2014 at 14:00 by pastor Fred Abua  (he is gonna kill me for this) i read this piece and i taught i share it. I am reading the many contradictory predictions for 2014 here on Facebook and in some national dailies and I have almost fallen off my stool with laughter even though I know I should be tearing up or writhing in pain right now! At first I was peeved by the brazen lies and speculations that my fellows in the ministry can contrive to gain recognition or to continue controlling crowds but wisdom demands that I find a way to relax or I might lose my mind. So I laugh. I will try and save us all some controversies by not mentioning names because I am certain that some of my readership will find the names of their favorite preachers among those whose prophecies I despise. The result will then be that people will place curses on me (curses that will not work); they will pity my lack of spiritual understanding...

I saw this on a bumper sticker once and found it interesting...found it on amazon too and I suppose this represents what some have observed after going through a very difficult time, not finding people in the church that could empathize or understand without feeling judgement from them in some way. and the pain associated with their disillusionment of what they thought God's people should be like. As unfortunate as that may be, it shouldn't be the case...

My fellow Nigerians, Diva Viva, We extend to you and the great leadership of the Nigerian people our warmest congratulations and blessings in the democratic wedding witnessed by our Nation,Nigeria. Be that as it may Buhari should use a second chance to avoid the party or his position being used as a police force and focus on Nigeria's own economic, population instead of "burning [from] the flames of Local and International hatred; that the people of Nigeria are weary of wars, bloodshed and unnecessary spending and Buhari should hence end the "futile" Boko Haram  "tarnishing" the Nigerian Name.  In the same vein, Buhari should realize the populace is tired of the physical and economic cost of the war done to the northern states in Nigerians and should hence "immediately withdrawing its invading troops. (although a few bomb blast may be head to stop side talks or affirmations) That said... see details after the cut.
