Female inheritance of deceased father’s estate has been given further judicial blessing by the Imo State High Court sitting in Aboh Mbaise. In a judgment recently delivered by Justice Ijeoma Agugua, the court declared that Mrs. Regina Ihemadu (Nee Nwimo) who is the only surviving child of her late father Imo Ebiringa of Amaokpu Umuopara Umuelagwa Onitcha Ezinihitte Mbaise L. G. A. of Imo State is entitled by law to exclusively inherit the estate of her late father. In Suit No. HAM/13/2017 filed by Emperor N. Iwuala of counsel on behalf of the plaintiff, the court also, restrained the woman’s uncles, other relations and their agents from trespassing into the estate with a =N=7 million damages for unlawful trespass. Terror Monitor, has reported of a deadly attack by the terror group, Boko Haram near lake Chad which allegedly resulted in the death of 29 Soldiers. Terror Monitor in its tweet on Monday said the Islamic State West Africa Province, ISWAP, took responsibility of the alleged killing of 29 soldiers near Lake Chad area, oriental times report.

A 24 year-old woman  known as Rehema Kabayana was arrested by the Uganda police for allegedly slashing off her 28 year-old boyfriend's  p3nis. She committed the dastardly act when she noticed he had falling asleep. According to the story making rounds, some tatafoo (rumour mongers) neighbours had told her the boyfriend named Anthony Sekawa had been cheating on her with residents in the environs. When interviewed by the police she said, she had recently discovered her boyfriend was seeing different girls at a brothel located in Wanton Mukono and hatched the revenge plot. “I then discovered that he was secretly going out and flirting with other girls at different bars. In  an interview with Israeli Broadcasting Corporation, Kanu said he was “smuggled out” of the country with the help of “his men”. IPOB was the target of a Nigerian army exercise codenamed Operation Python Dance, launched in the south-east.  Kanu alleged that 28 persons were killed during the army operation, which was largely felt around his father’s residence in Umuahia, the Abia state capital. “My people evacuated me before they came to my bedroom. They took me away and smuggled me out of Nigeria. A naked body of a man had been found hanging at Ebeano tunnel in Enugu this morning, October 29 2018, in a suspected murder-suicide. There is a video showing him naked and dangling from somewhere really high that one would wonder how he got there in the first place and why he would strip naked to commit suicide. Eyewitnesses concluded the man was a mad man and he may not have committed suicide but would eventually get down. The cause of death has not been verified by authorities. Some have pointed out that it could be a murder which is being covered up as suicide and they've called for an investigation into the death. However, there is no cause for alarm to the wider community, but I would appeal to anyone with any information about the man to make contact with the authorities as soon as possible.

The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has confirmed that billionaire owner of the Leicester City Club was among the dead killed in the plane clash. Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, two members of his staff, the pilot and a passenger were killed when the aircraft spiralled out of control and crashed in a fireball on Saturday. The BBC reports. The Governor of Delta state in a statement through its Chief Press Secretary, Charles Aniagwu has conveyed his condolences to the family of late Chief Tony Anenih who died Sunday 28th October 2018. The statement read thus;  “I am deeply saddened by the death of elder statesman and former Chairman Board of Trustees of the PDP, Chief Tony Anenih (CFR), who passed on at the age of 85 years”. “He was a committed patriot, an astute politician and a former Minister of Works who worked to better the lots of his people and Nigerians in general, adding “through his purposeful leadership and development strides, the late Anenih influenced the dualisation of the Benin Asaba road, Benin Warri Road and the Benin bypass road which brought about unprecedented development to the Niger Delta region”.
