The federal government has vowed to adopt the name and shame policy for those involved in trafficking. Director-General National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), Julie Okah-Donli, said the policy will ensure there is no hiding place for culprits. The nationonline reports that Naval troops are making frantic efforts to locate the whereabouts of eight sailors kidnapped in the Atlantic Ocean close to Brass waters in Brass Local Government Area Bayelsa State. It was gathered that the victims identified as employees of Tethys Nig. Ltd and Sylver Global Ltd were abducted on April 19 about 17 Nautical Miles off Brass terminal. The unidentified gunmen were said to have forcefully boarded the vessel after firing gunshots in the air to scare the sailors. The victims were identified as Smart Kungborde, Isaiah Ebiewe, Christopher Wisben, Gabriel Enayon, Sylvester Ovwigho, Mathew Enegbuma and Kelly Shaka. The abductors were said to have stolen all their victims’ valuables, hounded them into their speedboats and drove them to an unknown place.

The job cuts would start in the second half of 2017 and carry into 2018, Coca-Cola said. The company also forecast a smaller decline in 2017 adjusted profit than it had previously expected. Coca-Cola said on Tuesday it expects full-year adjusted profit to fall 1-3 percent, compared with the 1-4 percent decline it forecast in February.

The Chief Judge of Ogun State, Olatokunbo Olopade, on Thursday pardoned 59 inmates of the five prisons in the state. Mrs. Olopade had visited the prisons located at Ibara and Oba in Abeokuta as well as Ilaro, Sagamu and Ijebu-Ode during the tour which started on Wednesday. She said the gesture was aimed at decongesting the prisons.
