EBOLA DISEASE- THE NIGERIAN HERO OF ALL TIMES

It is true that awards will be given to some outstanding nigerians for their jobs well done, even though most of their works has really done nothing to the masses but to enrich majority of themselves and THEIR  families.  However one of my greatest amongst other great women in Nigeria is...Dr Adadevoh, the woman was said to be a great grand-daughter of Herbert Macaulay and the lead consultant at the First Consultant Hospital, Lagos. The doctor was the one who attended to Patrick Sawyer, the Liberian-American who brought the virus to Nigeria. she was born on 27 October 1956 and died 19 August 2014, my hero was a Nigerian physician. Her great-grandfather, Herbert Macaulay, is one of the most celebrated founders of modern Nigeria. Her grandfather was from the illustrious Adadevoh family of the Volta Region of Ghana with whom she was very much connected to and in touch with though she lived in Lagos, while her father was also a physician and former Vice chancellor of the University of Lagos. She is credited with having curbed a wider spread of the Ebola virus in Nigeria by placing the patient zero, Patrick Sawyer, in quarantine despite pressures from the Liberian Government. On 4 August 2014, it was confirmed that she tested positive for the Ebola virus strain and was being treated, but she didnt survive it.  ADIEU DR ADADEVOH, THANK YOU AND THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN. NIGERIANS LOVE YOU AND WILL FOREVER MISS YOU LOADS. TILL WE MEET... REST IN PERFECT PEACE.

Following the backlash that trailed her performance at Shatta Wale's Reign Concert over the weekend, Ghanaian singer,  Fantana  has now released a statement.  The singer stated that she is not ashamed of being a woman and also mesntruating. Her statement read in part;  "Regardless of my costume being transparent, my only option was to put on a sanitary pad and still go ahead to perform. I am a woman and I’m not ashamed of menstruating. "I want to urge every woman to resist being discriminated against because of menstruation. I hope some people read wide and learn about menstrual health to stop the stereotype against young girls and women. "Yes my menses appeared 30 minutes to my performance and I had to put on a sanitary pad and still go on stage. "Menstruation is not a shame and I urge all young women take a cue from my actions and not to let it stop them from doing anything they want to do."

Over the weeks now Nigerians are being saddled with the news about the police refusing to leave the premises of a serving Senator, Dino Melaye, but some Nigerians online expect that this over-zealousness at getting the Senator could possibly be used in securing lives and properties of Nigerians on a daily basis. What are his friends saying about this? why is there silence over this issue? Whose toes has the serving senator stepped on? According to Senator Ben Bruce he alleged that; officers of the Nigeria Police are making attempt to kill Dino Melaye with tear gas in his house. lawmaker representing Bayelsa East in the upper chamber of the National Assembly also wrote that the Police is aware of an ailment (Asthma) Senator Dino Melaye suffers from and so intend to either snuff him out or kill him right there in his resident.
