I bet you wondering what a Star Sign is all about?. Well the explanation of each terms will be brought to you in my next write-up. so you keep in touch.

This week   I would like to introduce you all to MR. CORNELLS  A Nigerian, Barrister - at - Law and most importantly for the sake of this interview, a Fashion Stylist / Fashion Journalist. A TAUREAN. hmmmmmm

Hi Cornells thanks for taking the time to chat with me, please Tell us a little bit about yourself and your work.

I'm one guy that's always been keen on charting new, but challenging territories. Being a qualified lawyer (with a 9-5 job), I combine that with my fashion styling and fashion journalism. I'm also a Taurean. I think that should explain a lot about me already!
WHAT'S YOUR PASSION STREAMLINED FROM YOUR STUDY?

Fashion styling. I'm passionate, really passionate about influencing the way ladies and gents should look. These days, I just create and curate tons of collages, virtual styling of sort. Talking of streamlining with my study, law and fashion may be seen as "strange bedfellows". But with passion, one could galvanize and even streamline the two! Effortlessly! *laughs*

HOW AND WHEN DID YOU GET INSPIRED TO BEING A FASHIONISTO?

I use to model back in the day (as an undergraduate). In Summer 2008, I met and fell in love with Ozwald Boateng's colourful creations. He actually influenced my love for colours like pink, purple, burgundy, coffee, lilac, bottlegreen, aquamarine etc. I modelled for him that year in Lagos. That's when I officially started my foray into the fashionisto world! I'm never short of personal styling ideas especially after settling to work with Emmy Collins London (as his in-house stylist).

If, in some Freaky Friday-like situation, you could live the life of another designer, illustrator or creative, for a day, who would it be, and why?

Of course! There's Emmy Collins! His pieces are "timeless"! They are known for their versatility and flexibility when it come to layering them. It was from Emmy I learn you could "layer" polka dots over stripes and vice versa. Amongst other things, Emmy taught me to be original in my personal style and discard fashion rules! Then there's also Mr. Boateng too (on the side).

WHAT'S YOUR STYLE SECRETS WHEN IT COMES TO COLOURFUL PANTS

I do a lot of colour analysis. Certain colours (no matter how tempting they are) may not suit a dark person. So, it's better to find a way out of the rigmarole. Then originality is the watchword!

RECENT ACTIVITIES AND FASHION SHOWS

When I'm on leave at work, I utilise the chance for my passion. I engage in editorial/runway styling. Every fashion show I've worked in comes with its inimitable challenges. I've done and consulted for several shows since 2012 starting from MTN Lagos and Fashion Design Week. My most recent are EFW and AIFW shows. I've styled for Emmy Collins (Nigeria), House of Domina (Nigeria), Trish O Couture (Nigeria), Salim Signatures (Ghana), Zizi Cardow (Nigeria), Sally Bawa (Nigeria), Sally Intiego (Nigeria), Abrantie The Gentleman (Ghana), Mai Atafo (Nigeria), Omaks (USA), Carducci (South Africa), and I recently co-styled for RAAAH (UK). I'm currently in talks with some designers in West Africa. They are consulting for their upcoming Spring/Summer 2015 Collection.

MY BRAND

I'm working on having my walk-in store where we'd offer Styling/Media/PR services. We will work with tested brand consultants. We have our interior consultant, brand manager and other crucial professionals. For now, I won't divulge further details.

Do you sometimes feel discouraged or have a feeling that makes you wonder if you truely on d right path of life

I do have my moments of doubts and discouragements. I'm human, such moments are "normal". How one handle such is another thing entirely. For me, I always remain steadfastly focused on my passion regardless the tough times! By the way, aren't tough times transient?

Thank you for the interview Ms. Onukwufor. Do have a lovely day!

Anytime Mr Cornells...

Are you a Taurean? Did you in anyway feel any connection? Do feel You are in one way or the other connected to somebody or somebody behaves just exactly like you? feel free to post a question or observations to help me get more personal with you and lets help each other.... its Friday and as Mr. Cornells  would say," catch fun, if you can" yea just aspire to be happy. happiness is the greatest aspiration anyone could have.
