SEE THE DEADLY THING FOUND INSIDE A CAKE BOUGHT AT SHOPRITE.
This is alarming and a call to all agencies in charge of monitoring packaged foods in retail shops, whether big or small. That is if such agency is even available in Nigeria. The moment products are registered by NAFDAC, SON, NIS, etc, and Boom! That's all, the bakeries, producers, importers dust off their shoulders and bake, produce or import rubbish into the country. That said, people have been often advised to avoid packaged food and drinks they think its just a joke, we can not sit back and watch these companies in the name of 'Big Names' ruining the lives of Nigerians and visitors at large. For all you who love to open your mouth wide and eat, this is for you.
Late this evening, miss Martina Uche had bought a cake from the shoprite, being happy to munch the cake with a bottle of wine to download the much anticipated glorious dinner snack, but to her chagrin she saw this! Yulk! It's not even expired yet!
worse of it all was that she had already started eating from the top of the cake before she thought of dividing the cake into two, one for the night and the other half tomorrow morning to intensify the Sunday service with a taste of cake and Tea.
She almost fainted at the site of what she described as a long worm like objects and big ugly moles in the cake. She had been throwing up as at when the post was sent to divaviva.
According to her, it's raining heavily and she cannot go back to shoprite. As its late already. No food. No snack. (Hunger calling, but no appetite to eat anything) mentally depressed I guess.
This is not the first time this is happening to friends and people I know. Years back a popular comedian's wife saw an ugly looking thing in the juice she bought. Its so sad.
This new government got to do something about this. People are dying everyday of sicknesses with unknown causes. No one is safe anymore. Even the wheat bread you eat every day is filled up with chaff. You chew the bread and you find out you are chewing a stick like thing. It's terrible! It's horrible!
