SUBSIDY REMOVAL: JONATHAN DESERVES AN APOLOGY FROM US ALL.
I wanT Dino Melaye, Tunde Bakare, Pat Utomi and others to come out and
apologize to Nigerians like this man. We always forgive. I call this Se
Finito!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Maduka Chinemelum.

I was one of those who very actively campaigned for non removal of
petrol subsidy in 2012 during occupynigeria started by my dear aburo
Babatunde Rosanwo . I still remember clearly the argument put forward by
Dr Ngozi and the chair of the Central Bank now Emir of Kano that
subsidy was unsustainable. However we did not listen. We abused and
cursed Jonathan endlessly. Nigerians went on a nation-wide strike for
about 1 week. Rallies were held across Nigeria. Freedom park in Lagos
was the rallying point. Nigeria grounded to a halt. We did everything to
disgrace Jonathan on facebook and twitter.
Finally the man relented. Today the only beneficiaries of subsidy are the Oil Marketers raking in billions of Nigeria's money. I have since learnt that in Nigeria things are not what they seem and that putting the blame on one human being is totally unfair.
The ongoing suffering in Nigeria should be placed on the doorstep of these greedy people the oil sellers who have sabotaged all efforts to improve Nigeria's capacity to refine its oil because they will lose billions of dollars thereby. Just like they have sabotaged all efforts to improve local electricity production because of the huge financial gain they stand to lose. The late Chief Bola Ige was frustrated as Minister for Power because of these evil people. Until Nigeria learns to recognise and fight its true enemies, 1 million magicians called Buhari cannot and will not change the status quo. All the curses on Jonathan will not do any harm because he is not the enemy - the oil marketers are. Jonathan tried to deal with these people but we (myself inclusive) did not let him.
That no one is even talking about these oil sellers shows how Nigerians like to ignore the truth. It is the oil marketers holding the country to ransom. Jonathan was able to hold them at bay for 5 years because Nigeria had good income. Unfortunately now the dwindling income means paying these people has become unsustainable. Buhari cannot perform any magic no matter his false promises - until these marketers are curtailed - by removing the same subsidy we stopped Jonathan from removing in 2012.
I owe Jonathan an apology for my actions. I acted in ignorance. Now my eyes are clearer. Nigerians - shine your eyes!!!
