COPS ACCUSED OF EDITING ARREST VIDEO AFTER BLACK WOMAN KILLS HERSELF IN JAIL.

 Allegations have been made that a police cruiser’s dash cam footage of the arrest of a black woman earlier this month near Houston, Texas had been edited to cover the events of the arrest leading up to her “suspicious” suicide while in jail. The Texas Department of Public Safety (TDPS) posted the entire video on YouTube just yesterday and the evidence regarding the woman’s arrest couldn’t be more clear in spite of the recording having technical issues.

Allegations of video tampering started flying almost immediately after the TDPS posted the footage on Tuesday, but USA Today reports that Tom Vinger, a spokesman for the department, said Wednesday that glitches in the recording occurred when it was uploaded for public viewing. They are currently working on resolving the problem.

This video is over 52 minutes long, which I reviewed in its entirety in order to provide relevant points of reference for the accusations against law enforcement of doctoring the footage.

On the afternoon of July 10th, Sandra Bland was pulled over by Texas State Trooper Brian Encinia for making an illegal lane change while driving directly in front of the officer. Apparently, Encinia only planned on giving Ms. Bland a warning ticket, but as he was asking her to sign it, she displayed an outwardly hostile attitude.

During their conversation about why she was irritated with him, the officer politely asked her to put her cigarette out while he was standing by her open window. She refused. At that point Encinia asked her step out of her vehicle to conduct the completion of the traffic stop. Bland again rudely refused his request by stating, “I don’t have to.” From there, the situation progressed to the point that the officer demanded she get out of the car and eventually had to resort to pulling out his tazer to get her to comply after she became physically combative...
