Director Jason Alexander Charged With Child Pornography: Police

Alexander,
51, was arrested Wednesday in Westchester County and charged with one
count of promoting a sexual performance by a child and one count of
possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child, police said.
Officials
say they found digital pornography files on computers and external hard
drives at Alexander’s Dobbs Ferry home. The files showed children
younger than sixteen years of age engaged in child pornography, police
said.
Alexander
was arraigned in Dobbs Ferry Village Court and held on $10,000 cash
bail. He is due in court on November 19. If convicted, he faces a
maximum sentence of seven years in state prison.
Attorney information was not immediately available.
Alexander’s
representative did not return a request for comment from E! News. The
Director’s Guild of America, where Alexander serves as vice president,
said they had no comment.
