OBAMA IS NOT HONEST - SAYS STEP BROTHER
Harper Lee, author of “To Kill a Mockingbird,” once said, “You can choose your friends but you sho’ can’t choose your family.”
President Barack Obama, however, would probably like to choose his family now. His older half-brother Malik has said that Barack is “not an honest man.”Farah Stockman of The Boston Globe has reported that the rift between Barack and Malik began in 1986 when Barack was 25 years old and began to search for the Kenyan family members he’d never met.
In a recent interview, it was clear that Malik was still upset about the fact that Barack failed to provide money for a family member’s funeral.
“(Barack) doesn’t want anything to do with (us),
President Obama has been visiting Kenya to open an entrepreneurship summit and is being wined and dined by African leaders. But it’s a safe bet that he doesn’t plan to catch up on family news with Malik.
It is likely that Malik’s dislike for his little half-brother is because he tried to trade on Barack’s name, especially when Barack made good and was elected U.S. president.
Malik once ran for governor of his home province and figured he’d win by claiming he had a “direct line” to the White House. “Obama here, Obama there,” was his campaign slogan. He lost in a landslide.
He set up the Barack H. Obama Foundation, which he later claimed was named after his father, and purportedly collected enough money to build mosques in Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Finally, Malik sold letters he said his little half-bro wrote to him 20 years ago for $15,000 … each (H/T The Boston Globe).
It seems to be a characteristic of Obama’s family to have little regard for others. But when one half-brother humiliates the other by calling that half-brother an embarrassment, then something is very wrong.
