The past and present Manchester United managers helped raised £20,000 for the charity which helps disadvantaged youngsters

The annual event, which took place at Dunham Forest Golf and Country Club, was also attended by legends Bryan Robson, Denis Irwin and Ryan Giggs, as well as other current stars such as Wayne Rooney, Michael Carrick and James Wilson.
Fans were also given the chance to play a round of gold with their footballing heroes.
Van Gaal said: “I have enjoyed today very much, I think it’s very important for us to get involved with events for the Foundation to help those less privileged.
“It’s nice that fans want to pay to play with us and it costs us little energy to make a difference.”
Sir Alex Ferguson said: “My golf isn’t great but I’m happy to be here. The Foundation has done great work over the years and it still continues to do so, and you can see all the former players here who are helping to contribute.”
Ryan Giggs said: “Raising money for the Foundation is the most important thing today, it’s a great cause and we’ve done it for the last few years and it’s always been a success in raising a lot of money and awareness.”
John Shiels, chief executive of the Manchester United Foundation, said: “Today is an important day for the Foundation, it’s great when the players and manager come and support, Louis and Sir Alex are here plus David Gill, Bryan Robson, Paddy Crerand so it’s a great day.
A total of £20,000 was raised for the Manchester United Foundation.
The charity works in some of the most disadvantaged areas across Greater Manchester, using football to educate, motivate and inspire youngsters.
Football coaching, skills training and personal development are provided by the charity to help young people.
