A driver and passenger of a £120,000 Bentley Continental are suspected of fleeing the scene of the crash which killed a council gardener

These were the shocking scenes after the driver and passenger of a £120,000 Bentley supercar fled from a fatal hit-and-run crash.
The Bentley Continental ploughed into a council gardener in upmarket Notting Hill, West London, at around 11.50pm last night.
Police are hunting the men who fled from the wrecked supercar shortly before police and paramedics arrived. The council worker was pronounced dead at the scene around an hour later.
The video, filmed minutes after the collision, shows debris sprawled across the road as paramedics battle to save the man's life.

Probe: Two men were being hunted by police after the crash

An eye-witness can be heard saying: "That Bentley just killed someone."

Another onlooker then describes how he saw the driver run from the scene of the crash.
He said: "He's run off... the person's run off I saw him running down the street."

Tragic: A council gardener was killed in the collision

The supercar was involved in the smash at around 11.50pm last night. The gardener is thought to have been directing traffic around his broken down vehicle when the Bentley into ploughed him.
He was pronounced dead at the scene at around 1am this morning.
The wrecked car was then left with its engine running and music blaring from its sound system.
The car is not believed to have been stolen and officers are now working to track down its registered owner.

Wreckage: Two men fled the badly damaged supercar

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "At this early stage it is believed that the van had broken down in Pembridge Villas and the driver had got out of the vehicle. The car, a silver Bentley, was then in collision with the lorry and the driver.
"The two male occupants of the Bentley - an 07 plate Continental GT - were witnessed to get out of the car and run from the scene - one along Pembridge Villas towards Westbourne Grove, the other along Dawson Place.
"Enquiries continue to trace them."
The London Evening Standard said the victim was thought to be in his 30s, and was believed to have worked for Kensington and Chelsea Council's grounds maintenance contractors Quadron.
