Tian Li, now 29, has posed
for a black and white photograph with his father, Tian Jun, 56, ever
since his first birthday. Now working as a director in Chinese capital
Beijing, Tian Li has only missed one photo with his dad, in 2014 when he
gave birth to his own son, Timothy, in the United States. Tian Li said
the idea came from his artist father, and that most of the pictures were
taken against a white wall outside an old family flat where they had
lived for 20 years. The reason they are shirtless is because Tian Li was
born in the summer, and it was so hot that the pair decided to go
bare-chested. They have kept the tradition ever since.
