Muscleman accused of beating ex girlfriend says he'll hand himself in - after he's been to Creamfields festival

Mark Mcarthur wrote on Facebook that he would go to police - after he'd been to Creamfields A muscleman wanted by police after his ex-girlfriend was viciously beaten boasted that he would give himself up - after he'd been to a three-day music festival.

Amie Dowell, 22, released shocking images of injuries she claims Mark McArthur gave her during an hour-long beating.

The young mum was allegedly beaten and half-strangled in front of their son, the Daily Record reports.

Amie, 22, was left with severe bruising on her face and body, and a burst eardrum.

It is understood police are treating the case as attempted murder.

Amie’s aunt Tracy Fotheringham, who raised her after her mother died at the hands of a domestic abuser, urged McArthur to hand himself in.

But McArthur, 23, of Falkirk, posted on Facebook: “Innocent until prove guilty, f*** yees all.”

He later added: “Hand myself in after Creamfields … no wasting that.”

Then he put up a picture of his ticket to the three-day rave, which began in Cheshire yesterday.

Tracy said: “I want him caught because my niece is terrified to go anywhere herself now. But he’s wanting to get out of his nut and get laid.

“Mark had been at the football all day Sunday. He then went to my niece’s house to see their son.

“As soon as he opened his mouth, Amie could tell he had been drinking and asked him to leave.

“As she was standing in the hallway, with their son in her arms, he attacked her out of nowhere.


“He strangled her twice, causing her to pass out. The first time he did it, he burst all the blood vessels in her eyes.

“When she came round, she was panicking and trying to get to their son but he kept attacking her. It went on for an hour.”
