It is currently unclear whether any of the 54 passengers and crew - including five children - survived the impact

The wreckage of a missing Indonesian passenger jet carrying 54 people has been found in a remote mountain region, officials have said.
The Trigana Air flight took off from Jayapura bound for Oksibil at 2.21pm local time but was soon reported to have lost contact with ground control.

Indonesia's transport minister has revealed in a statement that the wreckage has been found by villagers in the Bintang highlands region of Oksibil.
The aircraft is thought to have crashed into a mountain.
It is unclear whether there were any survivors.

The plane, an ATR42-300 twin turboprop, was carrying 49 passengers - including children - and five crew members.
All on board are understood to be Indonesian.
Before the plane was found, investigators told Mirror Online it had lost contact near the end of its journey.

"It is too early to say what has happened to the passengers but we are praying for them all. We hope there has maybe been an emergency landing and our prayers are with all those on board."
Local media also say Trigana Air Service has received reports from villagers of a plane coming down in the area.

Trigana airlines was banned from flying in European airspace by the European Commission in 2007 because of safety concerns.
The Aviations Safety Network database says the airline has had 14 serious incidents since it was launched in 1991.
An AirAsia passenger jet crashed en route from the Indonesian city of Surabaya to Singapore last December, killing all 162 people on board.
The crash prompted the government to introduce regulations aimed at improving safety.
Indonesia's president promised a review of the aging air force fleet in July after a military transport plane crashed in the north of the country, killing more than 100 people.
