Jasmine Mitchell, 22, took her own life after a row with her boyfriend, Ryan Spring, in her student flat in Newport, Shrops, hours before she was due to sit her final university exam, an inquest at Shrewsbury Coroner's Court heard.
The court heard that she shared her flat with two other students who were both downstairs while Jazz - as she known - and her boyfriend, argued upstairs between 9pm and 11pm, before he left the house.
The student at Harper Adams University, in Shropshire, was a keen rugby player and represented Old Newtonians RFC in Leicestershire.

She was heard arguing with her boyfriend on May 21 by her flatmates, just the day before her final exam of the year where she needed just 10% to pass.
Jazz, who travelled to Africa on Safari in 2011, planned to visit her mum Tracey in Leicester the next day.
Recording a verdict of suicide, senior coroner John Ellery said: "Suicide can never be presumed but in this case I am satisfied that Jazz intended to kill herself.
