Husband And Wife Have Their Throats Cut While Sleeping In Enugu

Tragedy on Monday struck at Amaja, a border town between Enugu state and Benue State in Igboeze North Local Government Area of Enugu State, when a couple, identified as Mr. Marel Abah and his wife Mrs. Jacintha Abah, met their untimely death while in their room while sleeping.

It was learnt that on that fateful day at about 2am under a heavy down pour, men, yet to be identified, had gained access into the house of the deceased couple located in an isolated axis of the town and entering into the room of the couple and slashed their throats.

Meanwhile, the bodies have been deposited at the morgue of Ogurute General Hospital for autopsy.
The Enugu State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ebere Amaraizu confirmed the incident through a press statement he released to newsmen in Enugu Thursday.
