Tributes have been paid to a "beautiful young woman" who was brutally strangled to death in a horrific attack.


Natalie McGuinness was discovered with horrific injuries in a property on Mailcoach Road in Sligo, Ireland, yesterday morning.

Medics battled desperately to save her life as gardai (Irish police) arrived on the scene.

However, after being taken to Sligo Regional Hospital she was pronounced dead at 11am.

Friends of Natalie, who attended boxing classes in the area, told of their shock at the death of such a “beautiful woman”.

One pal, who did not want to be named, added she could not believe her friend had been killed in such a violent way.

The woman said: “I would have been boxing with her for a while. She was such a nice and beautiful girl.”

"Menstruation is not a shame and I urge all young women take a cue from my actions and not to let it stop them from doing anything they want to do."
