Tormented football star Clarke Carlisle faces paying up to £100,000 in compensation to a lorry driver traumatised by his failed suicide bid.
Darren Pease was unable to work after former Leeds, Burnley and QPR defender Carlisle threw himself in front of his vehicle as it travelled at 60mph.
The trucker could be awarded cash for injuries to his face, psychological trauma and loss of earnings.
Darren, 54, said: “I’ve got a personal injury claim against him and he admits liability. Life hasn’t been easy the past 12 months.”
