A
father-of-one who could not cope with the troubles of life sent his mom
chilling video of him preparing to commit suicide after he was jilted
by his girlfriend.

A man identified as Craig Westby hanged himself at his home after
splitting with his girlfriend. The man who sent his mother a chilling
video while preparing to hang himself said he has lost interest in life.
But, his mother didn't see the video until six hours after he had
committed suicide.
The 26-year-old's body was found at his home in Chesterton after he
failed to turn up to work on July 2 this year. Craig worked as a
storeman before his death and had a baby.
The coroner said the case highlighted the fact that men are not
able to deal with break-ups as well as women, and the problems faced by
many other young men.
Mother, Beverley Alexander, of Congleton, Cheshire, told North
Staffordshire's senior coroner Ian Smith how her son had talked about
killing himself in the past.

She said: 'He became upset at the beginning of the year when he broke up with his girlfriend.
'He used to send me texts saying "this life is not for me" and "I can't deal with it".
'I used to try and talk him around and make things OK. I didn't really think he was serious.
'He had talked about killing himself before and it upset me
quite a lot and upset everybody else in the family, so I didn't tell
anybody about the texts.'
She added: 'I ignored it and tried to talk about other things and be positive with him. I didn't acknowledge the question.'
The father-of-one had become depressed and had 'lost interest in everything' after breaking up with his girlfriend in January.
