MARK Zuckerberg giving 99% of his Facebook shares to charity as he announces the birth of his daughter.

Facebook boss Mark Zuckerberg has just become a dad and to celebrate the new arrival he's giving away 99% of his Facebook shares.


Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan announced the news of the birth of their daughter, Max, on their Facebook page.

They also published a letter to their daughter which began with the words "Your mother and I don't yet have the words to describe the hope you give us for the future."

"Yes my menses appeared 30 minutes to my performance and I had to put on a sanitary pad and still go on stage. "Menstruation is not a shame and I urge all young women take a cue from my actions and not to let it stop them from doing anything they want to do."
