An angry wife battered a woman with her own shoes after spotting her coming out of her bathroom in just her underwear, a court heard.
Kay Sealy whacked Charlotte Akomfrah, 27 - a work colleague of her husband - after she came home with him following a night out.

Ms Akomfrah claimed she was assaulted and pelted with her own shoes, leaving her head “pumping blood”, the Irish Mirror reports.
The court heard the bust-up happened after Sealy’s husband, a colleague of Ms Akomfrah, invited her home after work drinks, allegedly telling her he was in an “open relationship”.

Tallaght district court in Dublin heard graphic designer Ms Akomfrah was out in the city centre with her colleagues, including Sealy’s husband, Ciaran.
They had been flirting and he asked her to come home with him.
She asked if he was married and he said he was in an “open relationship”.
Sealy, 35, from Deerpark Place in Tallaght, had pleaded not guilty to assaulting Ms Akomfrah, causing her harm, on August 31, 2014.

The victim said that after dinner and drinks in Dublin city centre, at 12.30am she and Ciaran were the only ones left at the work bash.
Ms Akomfrah said they were looking for a friend and they got a taxi to Bruxelles.
She said: “We went outside for a smoke. We were flirting with each other.
"He asked me if I wanted to come back to his house. I asked if he was married or had a girlfriend. He said he was in an open relationship.”

She said she got a taxi to Tallaght with Mr Sealy, they had been kissing and when they arrived at his house this continued and then she went to the bathroom.
She said: “When I was in the bathroom I saw there was a tug on the handle of the door. I said I would be out in a minute. I didn’t think anything of it.
“When I came out I heard a woman screaming, calling me names, calling me a bitch. She started hitting me. I was so shocked. She kept on hitting me.
"She started hitting me with my shoes. I was crying out ‘please stop, I’m sorry, I didn’t know, I really didn’t know’.

“I saw a man standing in the doorway. I asked him to help me.
"He just shook his head. I made it out onto the street. I saw my head was pumping blood. I rang an ambulance and they asked me for a landmark.”

She said she was taken to hospital and then rang her parents. She later reported the incident in Blackrock Garda Station.
Under cross-examination from Sealy’s lawyer, Michael Hennessy, Ms Akomfrah denied she was completely naked.
