20 Year Old Woman NEAR DEATH after leaving Tampon in her V for Nine solid days

 A 20 year old student named Emily Pankhurst is speaking out about the dangers of tampon wearing. You see Emily accidentally left her tampon in for nine days - and nearly DIED from toxic shock syndrome.


How could this happen? Well, Emily is currrently a college student studying criminology. And she had her last period during END OF SEMESTER FINALS. So she inserted the tampon, but due to stress had forgotten to remove it and insert another one. WhAT?

Emily explained what happened, " was feeling really ill by that stage. I was hot and dizzy and felt really strange. I was bleeding more and my mum suggested I feel about and see if there was anything there.”

She was admitted intensive care, where doctors told her that she was suffering from sepsis (blood poisoning) as a result of Toxic Shock Syndrome - an infection caused by bacteria forming on the tampon. Luckily they managed to save Emily's life using antibiotics.
