Man 'punches and kicks Pregnant Girlfriend in face causing seizure'

A man has been charged with viciously assaulting his pregnant girlfriend in an attack which was caught on camera.
Wesley M. McCall allegedly punched and kicked his victim so hard in the face and head, she fell to the floor and suffered a seizure.

Footage, obtained by The Jersey Journal, shows the woman being chased before she is thrown to the ground and kicked in the face once.
McCall, 23, was arrested on Thursday and charged with second-degree aggravated assault following the incident earlier this month.
The Jersey City man appeared in court yesterday where his bail was doubled to $100,000 on the grounds of the brutality of the alleged attack.

 
Hudson County Assistant Prosecutor John Mulkeen told NJ.com: "It is an unfortunate and brutal attack, and fortunately for the prosecution, it was partially caught on video."
Mulkeen said of the video of the attack was filmed by a passerby on February 17 at Ocean Avenue and Stegman Parkway.
He added: "The fact that the state has video showing him assaulting a pregnant female itself makes him a risk of flight."

EFCC Officials Forcefully Break Into An Expectant Woman's House at 3am

An expectant father has accused EFCC officials of breaking into his home in the middle of the night to conduct a search without a warrant. The man said he was at his home in Olokuta, Kemta, in Idi-Aba, Abeokuta between 3 am to 5 am, when some men forcefully broke into his house using a hammer.  He added that he was afraid they were armed robbers, so he hid in the guest bedroom with his pregnant wife as the men broke in through the sitting room window. According to him, the intruders claimed to be EFCC officials looking for "Yahoo boys", but they had no form of identification, neither did they have a search warrant.  Even without a search warrant, the victim alleged that they searched his house, damaged things, then left without as much as an apology.
