33-year-old man was arrested after reportedly beheading a young girl as she rode her bike

A man launched a random attack on the young girl as she cycled past a metro station with her mum in capital Taipei, according to local media.
There are conflicting reports on the girl's age, but she is believed to be either three or four-years-old.

The Central News Agency reported that police are questioning an unemployed 33-year-old man who has a history of mental illness and drug abuse.
As he was taken away by police a group launched a vicious attack on him.

Footage shows the man standing in front of a crowd of journalists with his head bowed and what looks like blood on his face. He says nothing.
The clip then cuts to show a huge commotion as the man is rushed through a baying crowd that try to attack him.
As police drag him from the crowd he falls to the floor.
