DISGUSTING: students risked falling seriously ill after living in a house so damp and filthy it has mushrooms growing on the walls.

A patch of fungi was found thriving in the grimy corner and the ceiling is visibly peeling away.The disgusting house was only one of the substandard shared homes uncovered by a council inspection in Bath, Somerset. 

 
In one case, a person was living in a tiny 'bedroom' which was just four square metres - the same size as a double bed.
