lol! This Adele superfan pays £100 for ticket to see his idol in concert but THIS was the view he got.
A self-confessed Adele superfan paid more than £100 to see his idol in concert, but THIS was the view he got.
Devastated Kevin Lawlor had his sight of the megastar singer blocked by a cameraman for the entire two-hour performance at Manchester Arena.
He had made sure when he booked that he got the best possible seat his money could buy and was told the seat was not a restricted access seat.
But when he arrived at the venue on March 10 he was ‘devastated’ when he realised his view for the evening, the Manchester Evening News reports.
Kevin, 36, of Blackley , said: “I have been a huge fan of Adele ever since her ‘19’ album and this is the first time I have ever been able to go. It has quite an emotional relevance as well as my brother passed away two years ago and the song ‘Someone Like You’ means a lot to me.
“But when I got to my seat I couldn’t believe it. I couldn’t see anything other than the back of the cameraman the whole evening.
"I was devastated. I checked my ticket and it didn’t say it was restricted access. I paid more than £100 too so would expect to be able to at least see Adele.
“It was really upsetting for me. I’m not the type of person to make a scene but I did ask the stewards at the event and they were not helpful at all.
“My friend went to the concert as well and only paid £60 and she had a great view. I would never have paid that amount of money for that seat. I wouldn’t have paid anywhere near that amount for such a poor view. It just really ruined the night for me.”
He contacted Manchester Arena about his complaint and was sent an email stating the seats were not classed as restricted viewing.
