Warning Graphic Pictures: Disgusting moment a man who had been embarrassed by a huge golf ball-sized lump on his head for four years finally had it popped.

The patient, nicknamed Grover, said the massive lump on the back of his head was getting bigger and bigger and he had almost given up hope of getting rid of it.

He said he had driven 250 miles to visit Dr John Gilmore, at the Cypress Lakewood Clinic in Houston, Texas to have the lump removed.

Grover, who works as a pilot, said he called the lump his "golf ball" because it was so huge.

In the video Dr Gilmore can be seen injecting the cyst with medicine and taking precautions so its contents did not fly everywhere.
 
But his tools prove too week for the giant growth and he has to resort to a massive pair of pliers to try and remove it.
As to whether the doctor manages to get rid of the entire thing - we'll leave you to watch.
