In case there's any doubt about dogs being a man's best friend, the journey Rafael Mantesso and his faithful pooch Jimmy Choo have been on may put paid to that.
Rather than being a day of celebration, Rafael Mantesso's 30th birthday was marred by the news that his wife was leaving him, as he explains on his website.

In itself this is a horrible blow to be dealt - but that's not where the bad news ended.
As if that's not hard enough, his now ex-wife also took nearly everything. Literally, nearly everything: the furniture, the kitchenware, all the photos and the pictures.
There was one thing she did not take however, and not only has that one thing has made all the difference to Rafael's life, but it's inspired a book.
She left behind the couple's bull terrier, Jimmy Choo, named after the famous shoe designer.
