Beautiful Rehabilitation on LASU roads as new V-C assumes office

Driving through the gate of the Lagos State University ( LASU), i was more than impressed to see Some bad roads within the Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo had been repaired barely few weeks after the assumption of office by its new Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olarenwaju Fagbohun.‎ ‎
I saw trucks off-loading sand and granites to cover up the various bad portions of the bad roads on the campus. We are also pleased to update you and showcase the magnificent works carried out by the Lagos State Government in #LASU.

#Ambode while reacting to this construction work on his website was quoted as saying:
The rehabilitation of different roads inside Lagos State University Campus (LASU) are ongoing at the moment. This is to enable free movement of cars inside the campus. The roads will be completed within a short time.

We are proud to see this happening now at a time when the LASU name is being rebranded and projected positively under Prof. Olanrewaju#Fagbohun
Engineers from the university’s works and physical planning unit were seen supervising the workers at the weekend as they put finishing touches to the road rehabilitation.‎
The entrance and Exit gates have been rebuilt to a very lovely standard as a university of such prestige should be. The banking arena is not left out as it is being re-constructed.

Prof. Fagbohun on assumption of office on Jan. 11 had said that one of his missions was to improve on the university’s infrastructure.
NAN also reports that the former ‎Vice-Chancellor, Prof. John Obafunwa, speaking with some newsmen last year had attributed the bad roads to the ‎ongoing construction within the campus.
He said then that transportation of building materials by heavy-duty vehicles and trucks had contributed to the damaging of the roads, adding then that until construction was completed, nothing could be done.‎
