UK summer weather forecast revealed - but is it going to be a scorcher or a shocker?

 
 Flooding is threatening parts of the UK

Glorious sunshine will be replaced by a drearier outlook in the next few days, as Britain faces a washout summer.
Last weekend, Brits baked in 26C as thousands headed to parks, beaches and barbecues to celebrate the season's return.
But sun worshippers will be forced to pick up their umbrellas this week as rain, cold and even possible flooding dominates the Great British Summer.


The summer forecast, as predicted by AccuWeather, has been revealed.
And it's bad news, as the UK and Ireland is set to be a wet one, with Northern Ireland, western Scotland and northwest England suffering the most.

High pressure to the west and low pressure from Atlantic depressions between Iceland and the British Isles will keep another heatwave at bay.
The majority of the depressions will pass the north of Scotland but rain will frequent most of the UK.
Frontal boundaries will sweep through, spelling the end to any warm weather and resulting in seasonable temperatures for much of the summer months.
No extended heat waves - such as the temperatures last weekend - are expected.
