Joanna Johnston, daughter of William Johnston, slams medics for slicing her fathers liver in the medical blunderA dad-of-two died after a surgeon accidentally punctured his vital organs during a routine operation , his family claims.
William Johnston, 54, died during botched surgery on his gallbladder, the Daily Record reported .

His daughter, Joanna Johnston, said she was struggling to understand how her dad died and blasted health chiefs for refusing to give her answers.
She added: “The full post mortem said they punctured his liver, bowel and kidney doing keyhole surgery.
“It has been devastating. It was so unexpected. My dad was 54 and was well known in our area. He worked offshore and was a good dad. I miss him so much.”

William went to Dr Gray’s Hospital, Elgin, in August for his op before being moved to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary when his condition got worse
.“I just want to know what happened. He was taken from Elgin to Aberdeen when the doctors knew something was wrong. He just wasn’t settling. They gave him morphine and eventually opened him up, then realised something was wrong. My brother and I just need to know how something routine could go so badly wrong.”
NHS Grampian said: “We’d welcome hearing from Mr Johnston’s family so we can look into their concerns.”
