Never-before-seen El Chapo home videos show notorious drug lord happy and relaxed with family

A home video of El Chapo enjoying a family party and carrying his goddaughter shows the millionaire drug lord's relaxed attitude to life before being captured by authorities.


The Mexican drug lord established and ran the Sinaloa Cartel, and was ranked by Forbes as one of the most powerful people in the word three years' running.

In an astonishing twist to the El Chapo story, the drugs lord managed to escape from high-security prisons twice.
The video, allegedly filmed in 1992, shows family and friends gathering around a number of cars.

El Chapo appears from one of the vehicles and proceeds to pick-up a young girl in a party dress and carry her inside.

The cocaine kingpin continues to greet friends with handshakes and hugs, while holding the little girl in his arms.
