The Euro 2016 clash between Croatia and Czech Republic had to be stopped after flares were thrown on to the pitch.

Late in the game a firework was launched on to the pitch in St Etienne causing referee Mark Clattenburg to call a halt to proceedings while it was extinguised.

Fighting then broke out in the Croatian portion of the crowd forcing stewards to step in.

UEFA handed out a suspended suspension to the Russian federation and Croatia can expect similar sanctions against them as the European governing body look to crack down on the crowd violence that has marred the tournament.
