Killer brother's chilling confession why he strangled feminist model sister for racy social media selfies



An evil brother who strangled his social media queen sister to death has explained why he killed her in cold blood.
The murder of Qandeel Baloch, a 26-year-old Instagram model and women's rights activist, sent shockwaves through Pakistan yesterday.

In Facebook posts, Baloch spoke of trying to change "the typical orthodox mindset" of people in the conservative country.
She faced frequent misogynist abuse and death threats but continued to post provocative pictures and videos.

Muhammad Waseem admitted to killing his own sister
Her brother Muhammad Waseem told police it was an "honour killing" and he gave her a "tablet" to subdue her before choking her to death.
He told journalists in a press conference arranged by the police early today: "I have no regrets."
The killing sent shockwaves across Muslim Pakistan and triggered an outpouring of grief on social media for Baloch, whose real name was Fauzia Azeem.

"As per our initial investigation 'honour' is the motive of murder," said Azhar Ikram, the police chief in Multan, where Baloch was killed.
More than 500 people - almost all women - die in Pakistan each year in such killings, usually carried out by members of the victim's family meting out punishment for bringing "shame" on the community.
