Manchester United's David De Gea cleared of any wrong doing after sexual assault allegations
d De Gea has been cleared after a sexual assault investigation concluded theManchester United goalkeeper had no charges to answer to.
Days before Spain begun their Euro 2016 campaign, the camp was rocked after an unnamed prostitute accused the Premier League star of setting up a meeting in 2012 with other players before claiming to have been assaulted.
After a period of uncertainty concerning his participation in the tournament for La Furia Roja, De Gea vehemently denied all allegations and was installed as Vicente Del Bosque's first choice ahead of Iker Casillas.
Now, months on, Spanish newspaper Interviu has claimed that the investigation - in which De Gea was never once questioned - has collapsed due to a dismal lack of evidence from the woman concerned.
