A 24-year-old woman, simply identified as Angela Job has appeared before a Tinubu Magistrate’s court in Lagos for allegedly biting off her friends eyelid during a fight over a debt.  The accused who entered a not guilty plea while standing trial on assault occasioning grievous harm, was said to have bitten off her friend’s eyelid during a fight in Lagos that broke out over the undisclosed amount of debt.




The incident was said to have happened on Friday, August 19, at Papa bus stop, Badore road in Ajah. According to the prosecutor, Inspector Ben Ekundayo, “A fight ensued when Anyanwu asked for the money and the accused the accused bit off the eyelid, causing him grievous harm.” Meanwhile, Magistrate Ade Adefulire granted the accused N200,000 bail with two sureties in like sum and fixed September 29 for hearing.

A Lagos magistrate’s court sitting in Igbosere has recently ordered a 39-year-old woman, Abiola Remi-Loius, and her mother, Medinat Olusesan, to be remanded in police custody. According to The Punch, Abiola and 67-year-old Olusesan were arraigned on two counts bordering on forgery and lying on oath by the police from the Zone 2 command, Onikan, before a magistrate, JOA Adepoju.
