A 24-year-old man raped a female friend in her own home before sending her aWhatsApp message with a sad face and "I am sorry", a jury was told.
A court heard that after Ryan Falconer left the woman, she sent him a message saying "You don't understand how upset I am".

Falconer, who denies rape and attempted rape and claims the woman consented to sex, replied saying "Me too. I am sorry".
He then sent a message with a sad face and apologised again, the jury heard.
Prosecutor Jonathan Sharp told the court: "It was a clear and comprehensive admission."

He said the complainant was "deeply, deeply upset" by what happened in May last year.
He told Bradford Crown Court on Tuesday that Falconer and the woman had not seen one another for quite a while but they had stayed in touch on Facebook and WhatsApp.
She invited him round to her home because she was feeling down.

They were watching TV on her bed when he tried to orally rape her and then rapedher, Mr Sharp alleged.
