Do You Measure Your Progress On Weak Grounds, As seen on Facebook, Instagram...

Have you ever felt like you’re not moving in life? Have you ever asked yourself, “Why do I feel like I am not progressing?” Many times we just go through the motions without really being fulfilled. Many times we don’t think that it can be remedied and so we live year after year feeling stuck. 

It reminds me of quicksand. Quicksand is a colloid hydrogel consisting of fine granular material like sand, clay and water.
When water in the sand cannot escape, it creates a liquefied soil that loses strength and cannot support weight. The reason why quicksand is so dangerous is because it can’t support a human’s weight.

Sometimes we place the weight of our life, our purpose and our hope on unsustainable ground like quicksand, social media pictures of our friends on FaceBook, Instagram, Snapchat, etc, why do you have to compare your life with that of other people's lives they want you to see, you do not even know if they are truly happy or sad. We measure our progress on weak ground; which in turn causes us to sink and get stuck. Victims of quicksand aren’t killed because they’re swallowed by the sand, but because they can’t move or progress.

This is exactly why God sent His only Son. Jesus Christ came down and wrapped Himself in flesh so that we can let Him into our muddy, quicksand situation. Only when we invite Him in, can He pull us out. So that our life, our purpose and our hope can be placed in Him. He is the rock of our salvation.
