School feeding programme, granting of loans to market women and employment of 200k youths this month –Vice President Osinbajo

Osinbajo made this known during an interview session at the ongoing Nigerian Economic Summit in Abuja yesterday October 11th.
 In his words...



"Definitely before the end of this month, we expect that several states would have come on stream with their Home Grown School Feeding Programme. The programme will energise agriculture in the different states because it is what you plant that you feed the children with.

 We will be hiring caterers and cooks in each state because it will be Federal Government-funded from primaries 1 to 3 and the state governments hopefully would be able to cater for the other classes.”‎

According to Osinbajo, the Federal Government would fund the scheme for pupils in Primary One to Primary three while state governments are expected to take responsibility for pupils in primary four to six."

"I want to urge every woman to resist being discriminated against because of menstruation. I hope some people read wide and learn about menstrual health to stop the stereotype against young girls and women. "Yes my menses appeared 30 minutes to my performance and I had to put on a sanitary pad and still go on stage. "Menstruation is not a shame and I urge all young women take a cue from my actions and not to let it stop them from doing anything they want to do."
