We’re not subjects of Akugbene-Mein Kingdom, Kerebiri-Mein people of Delta insist.

The people of Kerebiri-Mein, Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta State, have denied claims by Akugbene-Mein kingdom of being their subjects, noting that their 10 communities were under the Kerebiri-Mein Kingdom.


They declared their loyalty, dedication and support for their traditional ruler, HRM Godspower Oporomo, the Taraeza I of Kerebiri-Mein Kingdom, urging those peddling rumours and fanning embers of acrimony to state the facts and figures clearly.

Justice Dorubu Narebor (retd), who is the Olotu of Kerebiri-Mein Kingdom, who spoke on behalf of Bomadi, Adobu, Esanma Kpakiama, Kalafiogbene, Ekantagbene, Ogbein-ama, Okoloba, Ogodobiri and Ezebiri communities at the palace of Taraeze I Bomadi, refuted the claims of Akugbene-Mein kingdom, saying that the Kerebiri communities were parts of their domain .

 Narebor said that the Kerebiri-Mein were not part of the gazetted communities of Akugbene-Mein kingdom, and cannot be subjugated.
