Buhari’s WAEC Result is Authentic-WAEC

In an exclusive Interview on Sunday, November 12 published by Punch Newspaper, the eighty-six year old former Registrar said that he personally issued WAEC certificates to three head of states including President Muhammadu Buhari.
As at press time, the interview seems to be generating a lot of ripples as to why Alex Ajayi did not speak out before now and why President Muhammadu Buhari has refused to tender the result in Court but resorted to hiring 13

Recall that Buhari has employed the services of 13 SAN, and 10 other counsels to appeal the ruling of a Federal High Court in Abuja on May 26, 2016 dismissing his preliminary objection to a suit filed by an Abuja-based legal practitioner, Nnamdi Nwokocha-Ahaaiwe against him challenging the veracity of his WAEC result.
-Ahaaiwe had dragged Buhari before Justice Adeniyi Ademola of the High Court, arguing that he did not meet the educational requirement to contest for presidential position in Nigeria.
According to him, Buhari had lied about sitting for the Cambridge WASC in 1961 in the build up to the presidential election which he eventually won.
But rising in defense of Buhari on Sunday, the ex-WAEC Register said: ‘’I was the principal of Fiditi Grammar School, Oyo State, at age 26 in 1956 and produced the first set of students in 1959. I ensured that the school
was stabilised before I joined the West African Examinations Council… I joined the West African Examination Council as a pioneer staff. I was the first substantive Nigerian Assistant Registrar.
‘’I took over the control of the examination from the University of Cambridge. I took examiners to Cambridge for training across 10 years and trained them in Nigeria. I had the opportunity of issuing WAEC certificates to three former Heads of State: Buhari, Abacha and Babangida in the 60s.
‘’When I was in WAEC, I was put on the council of the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) in 1966 by the national government of Aguiyi Ironsi.
When Post-Nigeria tried to contact Buhari’s Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, to react to the report, his line was switched off.
