Canada’s government finally embraces anal sex. Age Of Consent To 16years

It has been accused of discriminating against gay men, but the government will introduce legislation to finally repeal the ban.
The law is laid out in Section 159 of Canada’s Criminal Code:
Every person who engages in an act of anal intercourse is guilty of an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 10 years, or is guilty of an offence punishable on summary conviction.
There are exceptions for heterosexual married couples and consenting adults of either sex aged over 18.
However, it is banned completely if there are more than two people in the room.
Justice Minister Jody Wilson-Raybould speaks at a news conference in Ottawa on Thursday, April 14, 2016. The federal government has introduced a long-awaited and controversial new law spelling out the conditions in which seriously ill or dying Canadians may seek medical help to end their lives. The legislation says there should be a choice of medically assisted death "for adults who are suffering intolerably and for whom death is reasonably foreseeable."
The age of consent in Canada is 16, meaning anal sex has always had a distinction from other forms of sexual activity.
The legislation follows a report from LGBT charity Egale, which called on the government to repeal the section.
Douglas Elliott, a lawyer and gay rights activist who co-wrote the report, told The Globe and Mail: ‘A lot of Canadians think that when Pierre Trudeau said ‘the state had no business in the bedrooms of the nation’ back in the ’60s, that that meant this law was repealed.
