In Pictures: Scintillating First Lady Of Cross River State At The African Career Women Summit 2016, Tinapa Calabar.

She was born on 23 December and hails from Obudu LGA of Cross River State.  She holds an MBBS from the University of Port Harcourt and an MPH from University of Wolverhampton, majoring in Health Improvement and Health Promotion. She is also a member of Nigeria Medical Association and General Medical Council of United Kingdom. Until 2014 she worked with the National Health Society in the UK.

Dr. Linda Ugwuye Ayade, yes! who else! wife to Cross River State governor is passionate about healthcare, and believes that health of the public should be of paramount interest to any well-meaning government.  It was of no surprise why her speech sent waves into the hearts of well meaning career women who were present at the African Career Women Summit 2016 Held at Tinapa, Calabar, Cross River State. Following the backlash that trailed her performance at Shatta Wale's Reign Concert over the weekend, Ghanaian singer,  Fantana  has now released a statement.  The singer stated that she is not ashamed of being a woman and also mesntruating. Her statement read in part;  "Regardless of my costume being transparent, my only option was to put on a sanitary pad and still go ahead to perform. I am a woman and I’m not ashamed of menstruating. "I want to urge every woman to resist being discriminated against because of menstruation. I hope some people read wide and learn about menstrual health to stop the stereotype against young girls and women. "Yes my menses appeared 30 minutes to my performance and I had to put on a sanitary pad and still go on stage. "Menstruation is not a shame and I urge all young women take a cue from my actions and not to let it stop them from doing anything they want to do."
