Moroccan TV Slammed After Airing Segment On Domestic Violence Makeup

Viewers of Moroccan TV are slamming the network after they aired a segment on how women can cover up their bruises as a result of domestic violence.
The clip, aired on the daily program "Sabahiyat," shows a smiling makeup artist demonstrating how to "camouflage traces of violence" by applying heavy concealers and foundations on a woman who has two black eyes on her swollen face.

"We hope these beauty tips will help you carry on with your daily life," the host reportedly says in the clip, which aired two days before International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, noted The Guardian.
Host spends more time talking about the best brand of makeup to cover domestic violence bruises than the actual issue of domestic violence

Immediately after the program, women took to social media to slam the station for showing women how to cover up the effects of domestic violence with makeup rather than condemning the aggressor. They have now apologized for airing that.
