This man made sure to give his dog the perfect final day

When 19-year-old Parker Ray learned he would need to have his dog, Jett, put down, he knew he had to give him the perfect final day.
Jett had been a huge part of Parker’s childhood. They were best friends.


‘Jett was such an amazing dog,’ Parker told metro.co.uk. ‘His favourite thing to do was to sleep, and what got him most excited was food, exploring, and meeting new people.’
Two months ago, Jett was diagnosed with heart disease.

Vets gave the dog three months to live, but when Parker and his family saw the pain Jett was in after having a ‘terrible seizure’, they made the difficult decision to have the dog put down.
Parker told us he wanted to make sure Jett went out ‘with a bang’.
And so he planned a day filled with all of Jett’s favourite things, to give him the farewell he deserved.
