The spectacular 'supermoon', which can be viewed from the UK, will appear 14 per cent bigger and 30 per cent brighter than usual.

The largest, brightest full moon in nearly seven decades graced the clear sky of the Georgian capital Tbilisi, giving locals a chance to catch a glimpse of the celestial “supermoon” spectacle.

The full moon rose over Tbilisi’s famed Presidential Palace building and shined over marble monuments.
NASA said the moon will appear to 14 percent bigger, and 30 percent brighter, than usual to those lucky enough to catch sight of it.
The moon’s distance from Earth varies because it is in an egg-shaped, not circular, orbit around the planet.
The next opportunity to see a full moon come as close to Earth will be in 2034.
