2-year-old boy left in vehicle overnight

This happened somewhere in Thornton
A Westminster woman was arrested Saturday after her 2-year-old son was left inside a vehicle in subzero temperatures overnight. Wow! can you beat that.
Officers
were called to search for a 2013 green Ford Fusion near the 10000 block
of north Washington Street at about 10:40 a.m. in reference to a
possible accident Friday night where a mother had left a child in car.
At 12 p.m., Thornton Police found the snow covered vehicle at a strip mall parking spot in the 900 block of East 120th Avenue.
The
toddler was found inside suffering from hypothermia and frostbite, and
was taken to an area hospital. His condition is unknown at this time.
The boy’s mother, 26-year-old Nicole Carmon, was arrested for investigation of felony child abuse.
Officers
are still working to determine what led up to the child being left in
the car, along with details to how long he was left alone.
